It would seem that Club Class Concierge have invented yet another ruse to catch out the unwary. We were recently invited to attend an interview with 'a legal expert' at Bridge View Consultants, Maidenhead, with a legal expert', who was part of an organisation, ITRA,(International Timeshare Refund Action) involved in a group action suing the timeshare business for mis-selling. We would also be advised of a way we could get rid of our timeshare once it became a burden, should we so wish. The first half hour was useful, informing us of some things we didn't know, but essentially trying to scare us into parting with our timeshare there and then, in exchange for membership of Club Class Concierge. The 'heavy seller' arrived with pages of figures showing us what our 'debt' (i.e. maintenance fee) to pass on to our children would be in future years.   They would relieve us from this 'debt' in exchange for our timeshare (for 8 people) PLUS £7, 500 - a special discounted price available only at that moment. The rest was very much as has occurred for previous caggers. Fortunately we were made wary by the hard sell, and the fact that usually, when one sells something one receives money. I have never paid money to sell something. 'Owners' Solution' was another name that appeared on the paperwork. It appears that there are even more scams involving timeshares than I would have ever believed. The posting below is one of many we have been made aware of along with a number of emails that have become too numerous to ignore and although we are still keen to support the initiative of ITRA in their attempts to sue organisations like RCI, we have to report that the books have been closed on any new applications to sue for compensation in the RCI case.  Scambusters knows of no other class actions that are in the pipeline.  If there are any timeshare owners who have visited Club Class Concierge and have been promised to be part of the claim and then asked to part with money to sell their timeshare, they have been misled.  See the posting by the action group in the USA and click on the FAQ but you should know that the deadline for submitting claims was November 29th, 2009. If you have been promised anything else you have been misled. This next video of of a short interview with the MEP Arlene McCarthy who chaired the committee responsible for drafting the new Cross Border Legislation to combat Timeshare Fraud.  Note her comments on Fees. The following was posted on a message board in February of 2010. Scambusters would be interested in hearing from any other timeshare owner who has visited Maidenhead and let us know what transpired. Sandy Grey appears in this video. He has since then, been discredited in court himself and found guilty and ordered to repay thousands of pounds back to Timeshare owners he lied to and misled. Finally a pdf report about Sandy Grey whom scambusters exposed several years ago, but it took another 4 or 5 years for Scambusters to be vindicated because Sandy managed to elude capture and hide his true timeshare intentions for years.
