The concept of timeshare is easy to understand.  The only problem seems to be, not in buying a timeshare, but in selling it.  That is where the Timeshare Resale Companies made a killing, not in legitimate sales, but in the promise of having a buyer for a timeshare, charging massive up front fees, then never selling the timeshare week(s). Individuals and companies made millions over the years and one estimate by the Office of Fair Trading a few years ago was that 100s of millions of pounds had been scammed out of the pockets of British Timeshare owners alone. Scambusters is proud that we recovered more than £5 million for owners who contacted us.  A drop in the Ocean I know, but at least we did something and happily, many resale companies vanished never to be seen again. One final thought. We still have all the emails and evidence accumulated over the last several years of all those companies and individuals involved and we will not hesitate to resurrect any of it, should any of them come into our line of sight again.
